Lifting minds and hearts 2020

Lifting Minds and Hearts is an annual celebration of the children we love and serve through Loaves and Fishes. It is also our opportunity to thank the many volunteers and supporters who make this ministry possible and to introduce others to Loaves and Fishes.

Given the current turmoil caused by COVID-19, Lifting Minds and Hearts will be a little different this year. Instead of an early morning breakfast, we have decided to serve you virtually. Lifting Minds and Hearts took place on Tuesday, May 19 at 8:00 a.m., if you missed the event you can find the video recording in its entirety above or on youtube.

Loaves and Fishes provides the Hearts and Minds but we're counting on you to provide the Lift! If you are unable to join us on the 19th, we will post a recording of the event on our website for later viewing and sharing. Please support our program by donating in any way that you can.

Our guest speaker, Mr. Levelle Moton, serves as the head men's basketball coach for North Carolina Central University. Moton was an active member of Raleigh's Boys Club and credits it to not only saving his life but for keeping him grounded and focussed. At the Boy's Club he found friendship, mentorship, and learned discipline. Author of The Worst of Times and founder of the Levelle Cares Foundation, Moton is a class act and a strong leader on and off the court.
